Impact on the Business & Team work

  • Working with team and customer to ensure delivery as per agreed timelines.
  • Posting recurring journals for amortization schedule of pre-paid accounts on the basis of amortization schedule (wherever required) & Preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Co-ordination with sub-team towards smooth month end closing.
  • Supporting for Sales to Cash accounting.
  • US Government reporting.
  • Sound Knowledge of Accounting Standard – IFRS/US GAAP would be preferred and needed
  • Lead project (including M&A) related accounting work and work closely with US Corporate Accounting Team and Country Finance Team;
  • Sound Technical expertise in SAP -FICO (preferably SAP ECC) with overall understanding of other SAP modules;
  • Run SAP reports required to review Income Statement, Balance Sheets and Trial Balances.
  • Performing Balance sheet account reconciliation in compliance with SOX and Corteva account reconciliation policy, analyzing trends and completing fluctuation analysis, Identify reconciling items and follow up with respective teams to clear them off.
  • Identify root causes of issues and discover/implement practical solutions
  • Proposes new ideas to improve existing work processes and help drive change to reduce complexity
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet schedules and reconciliations
  • Required to solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines for overall R2R process
  • Co-ordinate with Consolidation team monthly to submit numbers and clear validations
  • Posing rectification entries suggested by local finance / GL reconciler between GLs.
  • Ensure journal postings are done after prior approvals as required by SOX and Corteva JEV policy
  • Good in handling the financials in excel, dashboard and reporting , good to have skills with Power BI interface.

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Ensure support is provided as per requirement from onshore counterparts related to responsible GL.
  • Attend all business calls and meetings and drive issue resolution as required.
  • Respond to queries from senior group level management as appropriate
  • Provides management and financial statement users with relevant, comparable, and accurate data on which to base decisions. 
  • Analyzes data and translates into meaningful information.
  • Serve as a resource for Business Controllers, Business Analysts, Plant Accountants, Corporate Accounting, Tax, and Treasury with GL related issues, questions and inquiries

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Ensure proactive controls in place to highlight issues before they are picked up by business.
  • Adheres to Corteva Internal control policies and procedures, including established SOX compliance processes.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of accounting flows in order to support GL reconciliations.

  • CA/CA(intremediate) with minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Excel Efficient, Macros basic knowledge, Blackline tool knowledge
  • Strong in accounting, reconciliations & analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge on US GAAP & IFRS
  • Sound Knowledge of SAP FICO/ SOX Compliance
  • Well versed with microsoft applications
  • Good communication skills with clarity in thought process
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment during peak period
  • Ability to handle heavy or varied workload.
