Background:


In the retail ecosystem, go-to-market landscape has been constantly evolving with the entry on various B2B platforms. Unilever has an opportunity and right to win by rewiring our traditional model towards omnichannel. We are in a unique position to seamlessly combine online and offline experience today and we must maintain this advantage before new players catch up. Unilever Market Place will invest in a differentiated marketplace brand proposition, which will be translated into a detailed business design and operations. Scaling UMP at pace requires us to establish marketplace as a truly independent and arm’s length business.



Main Purpose of the Job:


You will be responsible for leading the Design / Implementation of end-to-end Integrated Finance accounting, reporting and group reporting capabilities in SAP S4 Hana for Unilever Market place. This will encompass execution of core business processes in Source to Pay, Order to cash, Record to Report, Fixed Assets, Tax Accounting, Statutory compliance, Information Security, Product Costing and Financial Controls and integration across other core product / tools in the Global chase, as applicable, by working with stakeholders across business, SI Partners and IT functions. As a marketplace business going across 10+ countries with millions of customers, suppliers this will be a complex and challenging initiative requiring who has leadership, resilience, energy and experience in the space of end to end to finance.


This role will be pivotal leadership role in developing Best-in-Class solutions in the area end to end finance modules which enables Unilever Market place to have a competitive advantage in the market and to operate as an independent entity from initiation to build to deploy to ongoing enhancements.



Job Summary:


This role will Design and Implement Capabilities in SAP S4 Hana for Unilever Market place in the area of End to finance.




  • Lead detailed blueprint workshops to validate and document functional specifications across finance function




  • Partner and configure complete financial structure like enterprise structure, chartered of accounts, cost centre, budgetary and statutory reporting as per business requirement.




  • Drive standard design to make the future system & process more resilient and efficient




  • Responsible for build in ERP and other enterprise applications relevant to financial accounting and reporting at right level along with System Integrators




  • Responsible for Testing, Train the trainer and cutover activities during deployment




  • Responsible for Efficient landing of the financial modules across various markets, as relevant and as per plan




  • Support and govern the ongoing run of financial shared service centre and group reporting, closing cycles




  • Drive design clarity and on board key local statutory requirements and align expectations across stakeholders in global and local teams




  • Design core / Standard capabilities for finance processes as “Relevant” to leverage SAP S4





Key Requirements:




  • Extensive experience as a Subject Matter expertise / Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully designing and deploying Integrated finance capabilities (End to End starting from design to deployment including managing budgets) Capabilities in SAP as ERP




  • Deep exposure to and proven ability to lead technical, functional and process teams across setting up Finance structure, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Tax accounting, Legal and Statutory compliance, Fixed assets management, payroll management, financial forecasting, product costing, Inventory accounting, Banking and Treasury management, group and external reporting including deep process expertise




  • An understanding of key operational processes relating to supply chain and Customer development, with an ability to learn and understand current business processes and help to build right financial model, new processes/procedures that are tightly integrated with financial accounting and controls.




  • Detailed Understanding on financial controls and overall control framework including access controls and budgetary controls as relevant.




  • Good communicator with the ability to explain technical issues in an easy-to-understand way




  • Proven Delivery experience in Agile, scrum and Squad models involving both country business team and vendor partners




  • A clear external lens on IT development and trends that can support the roadmap for supporting financial module as applicable to support various business process across various markets as product in SAP S4 Hana




  • Background in global organisations and projects with multi-country implementation




  • Experience with managing SI partners and strong knowledge of the partner model/relationship




  • Demonstrable experience of working on complex, large-scale business transformations




  • Good understanding of soft skills involved in successful management of projects and team motivation




  • Deep understanding and expertise in managing application support at least cost.
