Position Summary









ITFM Analyst


The IT Financial Management (ITFM) team is accountable for effectively managing technology expenditures, with the intent to provide ITS and the firm business with a common platform to measure services and plan for future investments that optimize technology spending and business performance


The ITFM core mandate competencies include:



  • Financial Planning and Forecasting

  • Investment and Business Case Analysis

  • Chargebacks, Allocations and recoveries

  • Software License Renewals

  • IT Benchmarking

  • IT Staff and Resource Management

  • Procurement and Vendor Management

  • IT Asset Management and invoicing

  • IT Performance Management


This role is to specifically support the IT Financial Management, Asset Management, Resource Management, Chargebacks, Recoveries and Allocations competency.


Reports directly to: Manager


Primary Responsibilities:




  • Work in a collaborative team analyzing issues and developing solutions

  • Deliver high quality reports on time (i.e., minimal errors)

  • Conduct analysis of incoming requests or queries to present conclusive findings in creative format

  • Ensure all documentation is updated accordingly

  • Ensure processes, checkpoints and audits are established to ensure adherence to ITFM standards are maintained

  • Improve efficiency of ITFM monthly reporting process and assist ITFM with the improvement of reporting and analytics

  • Work with vendor and clients for Software Renewals

  • Invoice Reconciliation

  • Data Analysis & Modelling (What if Analysis)

  • Communication Reporting

  • Auditing of Overtime Reporting

  • Assist team with creating documentation and maintain repository of information

  • Handle emails coming to ITFM Mailbox

  • Flexible to work in Canadian hours (EST) if required



Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience as a Business Analyst

  • Post-secondary degree in technology, business administration, mathematics, computer science or similar fields

  • Audit or financial background preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in report development

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and frameworks would be an asset

  • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility to address changing client needs within a matrix environment



  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment and action accordingly



  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Ability to perform independent research, utilizing team member input as necessary

  • Able to work under constantly changing conditions and tight deadlines

  • Strong time management, organizational and communication (Written and Verbal) skills

  • Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization



  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Experience with working with remote teams
