Position Overview: This role is for an experienced associate to join the MSIM IT Client Services Team. The Client Services teams are responsible for developing and enhancing several software systems primarily involved with the management of account, client and product data. A wide variety of teams use this information across the Operations, Client Relationship Management, Financial Controllers Group, Product Development, Marketing and Legal groups. As such, the role gives a good grounding around the core data structures which support the Investment Management business. The role involves the development of new software and enhancement to existing systems in an Agile manner. It also involves working with business users and other members of the Agile squad and working with the support group on any unusual support issues.
Required Experience: 4 to 7 years
Substantial experience in Java with understanding of Spring Framework
Web UI JS Framework such as EXTJS, React or AngularJS
Experience in API development
Working knowledge of Databases including Schema Design, SQL, and Stored Procedures
Strong development skills with ability to understand technical design and translate the same into workable solution
Excellent communication and technical writing
Excellent Design skills (Design Patterns)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good to have skills:
Familiarity with Unix Environment (basic commands) and batch scripting languages (shell/Python)
Experience working with Source Code Management solutions (eg. Git)
Familiarity with standard DevOps tools — Jenkins, Sonar, Jira
Knowledge of Investment Management Business
Experience in working using Agile methodology
