Description
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Financial statements, including balance sheet, statements of profit and Loss and supporting Notes to Accounts
- Maintaining ledgers for Fixed assets and leases
- Perform financial statement variance analysis and explanation (actuals vs. forecast, period-over-period actuals)
- Perform account reconciliations and detailed scrutiny of all items lying in the account
- Prepare documentation to support external and internal audits
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and regulations (including country specific)
- Close of monthly Finance books which include accrual preparation, prepaid amortization and comprehensive Profit and Loss analysis
- Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Preparation of Bank reconciliation statements
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Qualifications:
- CA inter plus 5 – 6 years of relevant experience
- Qualified CA plus 4 – 5 years of relevant experience
- 4 – 6 year of experience handling Statutory Audits
- Experience working with strict deadlines (i.e., month-end close process) and proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge especially of month-end, reconciliations and understanding of IND-AS
- Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, knowledge of IND-AS, standard on auditing, ICDS and Companies Act 2013
- Working knowledge of ERP (Ex: PeopleSoft, Essbase, Excel, etc.)
- Analytical skills and inquisitive mind, strong communication skills and documentation ability, detail-oriented, self-motivated and ability to proactively work toward a goal without significant structure or rules
