Senior QA Analyst Job Description

Work you’ll do

Opportunity to work directly with the Enterprise Architect to refine and further automate our software development lifecycle. Will evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of continuous integration environments.

Design and build tools and frameworks that support continuous deployment and managing platforms. Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup and restores of different environments. Troubleshoot product and infrastructure issues in production environments and also work independently across multiple clients and deployments. Research and seek out more effective processes to improve overall programs and be able to effectively drive new operations initiatives successfully and efficiently to conclusion.

Key responsibilities will be: -

ü The key job responsibilities include the following:

ü Become a part of the Scrum team and work closely with BA, Dev, Scrum Master, and Product Owner to own all of the testing activities

ü Hands-on Support for Automation testing

ü Complete assigned functional QA activities – includes manual functional testing tasks

ü Ensure QA assets align with QA guidelines and follow the current QA processes and best practices

ü Analyze project requirements/PBIs and identify gaps in those items

ü Involved in test planning, test case development, test execution, and defect management

ü Write detailed test documentation to a level of detail where another QA analyst can easily follow

ü Create/manage test data as needed

ü Execute test plans and generate test results

ü Closely work with the onsite and offshore (USA) QA Leadership

ü Work with BA and Dev to ensure proper test coverage

ü Work with BA and end users to perform UAT and deployment smoke tests for various environments Identify improvement opportunities and work with the QA Leadership team to continuously improve process and standards

ü Manage all the test activities in VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services)

ü Participate in scrum meetings to add value from the quality perspective

ü Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on product functionality

Qualifications And Experience

Required: -

ü 4-6 years of QA experience in addition to the degree

ü Experience working in Agile Software Development

ü Experience using test management tools such as MS VSTS/MTM (Microsoft Test Manager), HP ALM/QC, IBM Rational Quality Manager, or Silk Test Manager.

ü Preferred Sitecore Authoring Experience.

ü Nice to have experience using SoapUI, HP UFT, or any other popular API tool.

ü Nice to have experience in functional test automation using Selenium, QTP, or any other popular functional automation tool.

ü Experience in writing SQL queries to perform backend DB verification

ü Experience to Validate REST API calls to perform API testing

ü Maintain test artifacts in VSTS and on the SharePoint site

ü Experience writing and executing test plans, test cases, defect management, and reporting test results

ü Strong written and verbal skills.

ü Nice to have experience on Tosca Automation tool.

  • Excellent communication skill is a must

  • This is an experienced level position, and we will train the qualified candidate in the required applications.

  • Willingness to work extra hours to meet deliverables

  • Preferred ISTQB or CSTE Certification
