Description
Responsibilities:-
Impact on the Business & Teamwork
- Ensure all deliverables are delivered as per agreed timelines.
- Prepare and file Tax declarations for the different levels of European Tax authorities, in accordance with the due dates.
- Perform Tax GL Account reconciliations (Both Indirect Tax, Direct Tax) in compliance with SOX and IFF account reconciliation policy.
- Identify unreconciled items and follow up with respective teams to clear them off.
- Provide details on Clearing of entries in open item managed accounts where the debit and credit entries are either posted manually or through system.
- Clear Tax GL account balances.
- Post recurring journals (Whenever required).
- Propose or Posting rectification entries into system.
- Ensure journal postings are done after prior approvals as required by SOX and IFF JEV policy.
- Publish performance dashboards and required tax specific reporting.
- Ensure proactive controls in place to highlight issues on timely manner.
- Adheres to IFF Internal control policies and procedures, including established SOX compliance processes.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of accounting flows to support GL reconciliations.
Customers / Stakeholders
- Ensure to provide support to onshore counterparts on responsible GL, Tax regime and country.
- Active participants on all business calls and meetings and drive issue up to resolution.
- Timely respond to queries from senior group level management.
- Provide management and financial statement users with relevant, comparable, and accurate data on which to base decisions.
- Analyze data and translates into meaningful information.
Qualification:-
- Master’s or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or any other relevant discipline.
- Atleast 3 – 5 years of experience in EMEA Tax Compliance.
- Europe Intrastat, ESL & VAT compliance knowledge & experience is a mandatory requirement.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word & Power Point.
- Good exposure on Tax GL Reconciliation and reporting it to Blackline tool.
- Strong technical understanding of accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their application.
- Strong Analytical skills and ability to work along with cross functional teams.
- End-user exposure of SAP FI module.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
