Job Profile Morgan Stanley is seeking a talented lead developer to join their Web Engineering (WebEngg) group, focusing on Web Infrastructure applications. The team is responsible for building and maintaining lightsteamer adapters that uses latest version of lightsteamer APIs and Services offered by the product. The core development will be using Java and following the modern architectures / practices. The main customers and user-groups for this role will be Technologists across the firm who use these adapters to integrate with lightstreamer. The primary focus of this role will be to serve as the technical lead for developing Java based lightstreamer.adapters. Key responsibilities will include-
Communicate with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and pain points Review and improve the architecture of our next-generation self-service application for scalability and manageability Contribute as an individual developer Work with support teams to ensure that the application scales and is fault-tolerant In addition to project-oriented responsibilities, you will be asked to serve as a mentor and guide for junior members of the team, and to provide coaching and guidance to help grow the team Candidate must be a self-sufficient problem solver who can investigate source code and logs to understand and improve the behaviour of systems Must be organized and detail oriented Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills Skill Set Bachelor's Degree with 10+ yrs of relevant experience.
10+ years of overall IT experience 7+ years of experience with Java 5+ years of experience working in a UNIX environment 2+ years of experience with Python or Perl or other scripting language Experience with Agile methodologies, GIT and CICD Knowledge of object-oriented principles and data structure Desired Skills: Familiar with Java Frameworks and implementation of an end-end product/service. Knowing Python would be an added advantage
