About this role:

Gartner has exciting career opportunities for a Business Analyst within the Data Strategy and Enablement group. This role will provide support for customer and business processes (including but not limited to Customer, Account and Enterprise data management) with focus on process improvement and addressing client/customer needs. The primary focus will be to identify and drive data quality initiatives on improving the accuracy of our client data that’s leveraged in dashboards, reporting and analysis throughout the enterprise.

What you’ll do:

  • Focus on to identify and drive data quality initiatives on improving the accuracy of our client data that’s leveraged in critical business throughout the enterprise while curating data insights that will ultimately improve the transparency and value of data across Gartner.

  • Collaborate across business and technical teams, both on site and offshore, to create business deliverables such as Data flow diagrams, Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Stories and User Acceptance Tests

  • Develop, document and communicate Product Vision by interacting with various stakeholder (users, business Users, Executive Management), conducting internal and external research, analyzing the data, system interactions and marketplace

  • Participate in workshops with business stakeholders to develop requirements

  • Support change requirements through accurate impact analysis and change specifications

  • Ensure quality through adherence to and supporting processes and procedures, including the maintenance of documentation on shared file systems

  • Provide support to other business analysts, business process owners and project managers to help drive business initiatives

  • Contribute to improvements to our client's Business Analysis documentation and methodologies.

What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner / Technical Business Analyst for a Data Product (Master Data Management Services, Web Service – REST, Dashboard, data feeds etc.,)

  • Expert level communication with both technical and non-technical personnel, both oral and written

  • Ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyses and document Business Process, User and Data Functional requirements in a structured way

  • Prior Experience in working in Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, Analytics environment

  • Well versed with in utilizing tools such MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, Lucid Chart, JIRA

  • Advanced SQL Skills preferred

  • Knowledge on using team collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, SharePoint etc.)

  • Basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques is a plus

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization systems is a plus (Tableau, Power BI)
