Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Social Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in data and analytics.

  • Experience with global risk projects, compliance programs, and solutions.

  • Experience with SQL database queries/analysis and writing code.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's of Technology or MBA.

  • Experience working in regulatory or compliance operations.

  • Experience in business analysis, statistical analysis, and Machine Learning.

  • Experience in process/project management with the ability to navigate and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to solve large and unstructured business problems (e.g., fraud investigations and risk management).

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.

About The Job

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

As a Data Analyst, you will drive initiatives and projects to meet regulatory/compliance requirements. You will interact with cross-functional teams. You will improve the user experience on Google Shopping and create an excellent experience for customers.

A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.


  • Drive, manage, and execute initiatives/projects to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to define the scope and charter of the program.

  • Work with internal teams to implement solutions.

  • Identify solutions through analysis and/or cross-functional partnership.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement changes required to improve the customer and merchant experience.
