Introduction:




A Principal Test Manager is responsible for E2E Test Delivery of various programs including defining test strategy, automation approach, day to day test progress management.




What will you be doing?





  • Develop and implement a QA strategy inclusive of people, process and technology that will drive higher quality and efficiency

  • Develop and establish best practices for Product Quality assurance and Process assurance including Test Automation

  • Work with product management, engineering, operations, release management and business stakeholders to understand software requirements. Help shape, estimate and plan testing needs, resourcing, and generate release plans

  • Create unit, component, acceptance, integration, load, security, scalability, usability and platform tests and oversee execution by the appropriate QA resources

  • Ability to manage all SDLC test artefacts including Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Defect Logs

  • Participate in sprint planning and effectively help improve planning & release management process

  • Monitor teams' work completion rate, automation coverage, defect rates & density, cycle times and other quality assurance KPIs.

  • Advise and contribute to the enhancement of the test automation framework, coverage, skills

  • Understand quality and timeline risks and make process improvement recommendations to the team, management and business stakeholders.

  • Develop Standards and Procedures to Determine Product Quality and Release Readiness

  • Ability and willingness to take a hands-on execution role where required to support client needs and team development

  • Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities

  • Ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts with confidence and in an easy-to-understand fashion





What we’re looking for:



  • BE/B-Tech with minimum of 12-15 years’ experience relevant work experience, including development and/or test automation experience with a degree in Computer Science or Applied Computer Science.

  • Define Test Strategy & Risk management for multiple projects / programs

  • As full stack tester and automation lead, should have experience of working across all application layers and is familiar of the functionalities.

  • Test automation strategy implementation. Expertise in DevOps- CI/CD. Expertise in test automation (functional and unit/integration level - tools like junit, TestNG, Webdriver, SOAPUI, Parasoft, Selenium, Cucumber etc.)

  • Hands on experience on writing Code / Automated Tests and understand overall automation framework

  • Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented Programming

  • Strong technical background with detail driven and excellent problem solving abilities

  • Good product and testing acumen

  • Proven track record for agile, test-driven development, behavior driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing

  • Good at art of questioning and critical thinking

  • Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains

  • Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams

  • Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools

  • Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture

  • Should have excellent conflict management skills and generate trust and respect in team

  • Knowledge on IVR, Contact Centre Applications, Chat Bots will be added advantage





Skills that will help you in the role:





  • Expertise in test automation - Selenium - Java, HP UFT, Python, C#

  • Expertise in testNG, Cucumber, Gherkin

  • DevOps Tool set – Git, Nexus. Jenkins/ Team city

  • Expertise of Database concepts, SQL / advanced SQL

  • Working Knowledge Unix, Linux - shell scripting

  • Expertise in test management tools like JIRA, Agile central, HP QC

  • Expertise of web services including testing methodologies - REST, SOAP
    Tools like SOAP UI, Postman etc..

  • Expertise in SV concepts, methodologies

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS certification
