Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all of the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines and regions have obtained support through Deloitte Tax in India. Deloitte Tax in India offers you opportunities to learn and support practice U.S. taxation, a much sought-after career option. In recent years, member firms, such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, etc. have obtained support in their tax related practice through the Deloitte Tax in India.

Job Description

  • Function: Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited

  • Service line: Deloitte Private — Australian Tax

  • Job level: Tax Consultant I

  • Specific skill set required: Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint

  • Graduation: MBA / M Com

The key job responsibilities include the following:

  • Ø Prepare of client packs, ATO correspondence and any other documentation required to be submitted to client, ATO or any other institution

  • Ø Processing of the Annual Company Statements

  • Ø Provide lodgment assistance for the clients

  • Ø Perform data entry/coding tasks on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis as necessary

  • Ø Preparation of client packs for the engagement team

  • Ø Supporting the engagement team with onboarding related activities

  • Ø Adding the clients on various software

  • Ø Prepare reports for the team as required

  • Ø Perform administrative and operational duties for all the processes which includes work allocation, application testing, database maintenance of the team, assistance during the movement process, and other administrative tasks as per the business requirement.

  • Ø Communicate with the Australian teams as necessary

  • Ø Attend meetings as required

  • Ø Attend training sessions necessary for technical and personal development as necessary

  • Work independently and accurately assess requirements for each projects and able to communicate effectively with

achievement. Determines and uses the appropriate resources of DTT to achieve results in the most efficient and

effective manner.
  • Contributes to DTT knowledge-sharing networks. Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity

present in the global business environment.

The key skills required are as follows:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree is essential

  • Fluent in English (essential)

  • Advanced Microsoft Office user, particularly excel, word and power point.

  • Good presentation skills in terms of clear English dictation supported by high quality written capabilities

  • Passion for learning and developing technical skills

  • Sound interpersonal skills and committed to working as part of an integrated service delivery team

  • Shows initiative and is proactive in seeking resolution of issues and in learning the business

  • Understands the critical importance of achieving deadlines and identifies issues that may impact on our service delivery

  • Attention to detail is essential

  • Ability to work independently is essential

  • Good problem-solving skills (ability to think outside the square when required) is essential.

  • Understanding of financial accounting is essential

  • Understanding of tax expressions would be desirable but not essential
