Project Accountant

Apollo Adlux Hospital is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting of Construction and project-related activities. This role is critical in ensuring financial control, statutory compliance, and accurate reporting of ongoing and upcoming construction projects.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in construction / project accounting
• Prior exposure to hospital, infrastructure, real estate, or large project environments preferred
  

• Maintain complete books of accounts for construction projects including CWIP, capitalization, and project cost tracking
• Monitor project budgets vs actuals, cost overruns, and variance analysis
• Process and verify
  
  contractor bills, RA bills, certifications, and retention money
• Accounting and reconciliation of mobilisation advances, security deposits, and bank guarantees
• Ensure proper capitalisation of assets in coordination with engineering and project teams
• Handle GST accounting for construction activities, including works contract, ITC eligibility, and reversals
• Support compliance with local and central statutory laws, including:
• GST Act & Rules (works contract provisions)
• Income Tax Act (TDS on contractors, professionals, etc.)
• Labour laws related to construction (as applicable)
• Relevant state-level regulations
• Assist in quoting relevant statutory provisions during audits, management reviews, and vendor discussions
• Coordinate with internal auditors, statutory auditors, and consultants for project-related audits

  Get Hired
  Prepare MIS reports for management on project progress, cost status, and financial exposure

• Strong understanding of construction accounting & project costing
• Updated knowledge of statutory changes (GST, Income Tax, labour-related compliances)
• Ability to interpret contracts and link commercial terms with accounting treatment
• Proficiency in ERP / accounting software (Tally or similar systems preferred)
• Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills

• B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / CMA-Inter (CA / CMA preferred but not mandatory)
