AFG's partnership with the AFC covers the commercial rights for all major AFC National Team and Club competitions, including the AFC Asian Cup, AFC Asian Qualifiers, AFC Women's Asian Cup, AFC Women's Olympic Qualifiers, AFC Champions League Elite, AFC Women's Champions League, and AFC Champions League Two as well as AFC youth and futsal competitions.

The Role
The Senior Manager, Partnerships will play a key role within the Partnerships sales department, supporting the development and execution of global and regional sponsorship sales across AFC competitions.
This role is focused on sales strategy, sponsorship rationale, and the creation of high-quality commercial materials, working closely with senior sales leadership to shape compelling partnership propositions for prospective sponsors. The Senior Manager will contribute meaningfully to deal strategy and pitch development, bringing strong understanding of sponsorship structures, activation thinking, and presentation excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the development and execution of global and regional sponsorship sales strategies across AFC competitions, with a strong focus on sales strategy, sponsorship rationale, activation thinking, and best-in-class commercial presentations
- Support the development and execution of sales strategies across AFC competitions, working closely with senior sales leadership on Global, Regional, and multi-territory partnership opportunities
- Play a central role in shaping the commercial narrative and strategic rationale for sponsorship pitches, ensuring a clear articulation of:
- Brand alignment with AFC competitions
- The value of continental scale combined with regional market relevance
- How sponsorship rights and activations address sponsor business and marketing objectives
- Support the strategy, structure, and development of sales materials, including pitch decks and proposals, with a strong focus on:
- Sponsorship understanding and rights-based storytelling
- Clear hierarchy of partnership assets across different tiers
- Consistent messaging for global pitches with appropriate regional adaptation
- Translate sponsor and prospect briefs into robust sponsorship solutions, demonstrating strong understanding of:
- Sponsorship mechanics and partnership frameworks
- Activation concepts across live events, broadcast, digital, content, and fan engagement
- How brands activate effectively across multiple markets while maintaining consistency
- Contribute actively to the ideation and structuring of sponsorship activation concepts, helping develop scalable, creative, and commercially sound solutions for both global and regional prospects that are in line with AFC's commercial concepts
- Support the refinement of go-to-market strategy and pitch positioning, ensuring proposals are commercially credible, strategically coherent, and aligned with AFC guidelines
- Act as an internal reference point on sponsorship best practice, including activation trends, benchmarks, and relevant case studies across global and Asian sport
- Collaborate closely with internal brand, activation, and commercial teams to ensure proposed sponsorship solutions are deliverable, scalable, and aligned with overall commercial strategy
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- 4-6 years experience in sports sponsorship, partnerships, commercial strategy, media, advertising, or a related field
- Proven experience supporting or shaping global and/or regional sponsorship sales

- Strong understanding of sponsorship structures, rights packaging, and activation strategy
- Demonstrated ability to develop clear, persuasive, senior-level sales presentations
- Advanced PowerPoint and presentation storytelling skills
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance global consistency and regional relevance
- Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable contributing to senior-level sales discussions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Additional Arabic language capabilities are a strong advantage
- University degree required
- Strong interest in football and the Asian sports and sponsorship landscape is highly desirable
