About The Role
We are looking for a curious, motivated, and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our growing analytics and data science team. This role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their data science career who is eager to apply analytical techniques, develop strong technical foundations, and work on real-world, impact-driven projects across policy, research, and digital innovation domains.
In this role, you will actively support the end-to-end data science workflow, beginning with data collection, cleaning, validation, and exploratory analysis across structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources. You will work closely with senior data scientists and analysts to transform raw data into high-quality, analysis-ready datasets that enable robust insights and model development.
You will assist in the development, testing, and refinement of machine learning and AI/ML models, gaining hands-on exposure to applied analytics, predictive modeling, and emerging AI techniques. Under guidance, you will help implement analytical logic in Python and related tools, contribute to model evaluation, and support iterative improvements based on performance and feedback.
A key part of the role involves creating dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reports using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms. You will help translate analytical outputs into clear, intuitive visuals and narratives that enable non-technical stakeholders to understand trends, patterns, and implications for decision-making.
You will also support projects involving GIS and spatial data analysis, assisting with the processing, mapping, and interpretation of geospatial datasets using GIS tools. This includes contributing to spatial visualizations and basic spatial analytics for location-based insights relevant to development, policy, and programmatic contexts.
Throughout your work, you will collaborate closely with senior team members, data engineers, and domain experts, learning best practices in analytics, documentation, and reproducible research. You will be responsible for clearly documenting data sources, methodologies, code, and findings to ensure transparency, knowledge sharing, and continuity across projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, GIS, or related fields
• Minimum 2 and up to 4 years of experience
• Basic proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with data visualization tools
• Proficiency in LLM Models and Gen AI
