The Role

  • Part of L1 and L2 team to triage the incident, whether it is cloud services (ie. Synapse Analytic, SQL, ML, etc.) or Power BI or data sources (Workday, SAP, MS).
  • Understand IT Help & Support environment and system.
  • Implement and comply with governance policies and standards.
  • Comfortable working with Azure resources to optimize as per MS guideline
  • Managing VMs and Kubernetes.
  • Understand cloud services cost model and identify areas to improve operational cost as well as provide estimated usage cost.
  • Implement/provide monitoring and logging services across projects/services.
  • Ability to customize opensource solutions and implementation.
  • Effectively communicate with MS Azure cloud support and CIO Infra team to ensure SLA metrics/targets are being achieved.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure business requirements are met.

Who You Are

  • Working knowledge of Cloud platforms (MS Azure is required). IBM Cloud, AWS, and Google are plus.
  • Introductory knowledge in at least one programming language including scripting; for example, Java, NodeJS, GO, Bash, Python.
  • Working knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, databases (i.e. SQL server, CosmosDB, and db2) and GitHub (CI/CD).
  • Knowledge on firewalls and network-related components with MS Azure environment.
  • Skills in API usage, command-line interface.
  • Hands-on experience in Azure Synapse Analytics, ADF, SQL Pool, Blob Storage, AAD, data pipeline creation z.
  • Azure RedHat OpenShift (ARO) and VM management within Azure environment.
  • Working knowledge on ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Communication skills including technical writing, presenting, communicating with external vendor’s support team, and articulating technical artifacts.
  • Knowledge on CloudOps, DevOps, and SecDevOps are preferred.
