About The Role
As a Data Analyst for Marketing at Cava Athleisure, you will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive our marketing and sales strategies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, marketplace operations, and business strategy to optimize performance across all channels. You will be responsible for integrating data from multiple sources, analyzing marketing effectiveness, and supporting continuous optimization efforts. Your expertise will help shape our customer acquisition and retention initiatives, ensuring that our marketing investments deliver maximum ROI. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about leveraging data to solve business challenges and foster growth.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess at least 2+ years of experience as a data analyst within D2C, e-commerce brands, or marketplace environments. Strong proficiency in GA4, including event tracking, funnels, and attribution modeling, is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with SQL and be comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis. Knowledge of Python for automation, ETL processes, or advanced analytics is preferred. Familiarity with data warehousing and BI tools such as BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should have a good understanding of marketing platforms including Meta Ads, Google Ads, Shopify, CRM tools, and marketplace ad platforms. A strong grasp of key marketing metrics such as CAC, ROAS, LTV, cohorts, funnels, retention, and contribution margins is required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for several critical functions that support our marketing and sales objectives:
- Integrate and manage data from various D2C platforms and marketplaces, including Shopify, GA4, Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, Zepto, and other sales channels, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Connect marketing data from platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, influencer platforms, CRM tools, email/SMS tools, and inventory systems to build a comprehensive marketing data infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain a unified marketing data layer that provides a full-funnel view of customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention metrics.
- Analyze marketing performance across multiple channels, including paid advertising, influencer marketing, organic social media, and marketplace campaigns. Monitor key KPIs like CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, funnel drop-offs, LTV, and contribution margins.
- Generate regular performance reports and dashboards to track progress and identify optimization opportunities, supporting decision-making processes across teams.
- Perform deep funnel, cohort, and retention analyses to identify drop-offs and opportunities for improvement in customer journeys across web, app, and marketplaces.
- Build audience segments based on behavior and value, such as cart abandoners, high-LTV users, repeat buyers, and dormant users, to enable targeted marketing efforts.

- Support marketplace-specific analytics, including listing performance, ad efficiency, pricing strategies, stock management, and competitor benchmarking to enhance marketplace presence and revenue.
- Assist in designing and analyzing experiments to optimize landing pages, product detail pages, creatives, checkout flows, and promotional campaigns, helping marketing teams adopt an experiment-led approach.
- Create and maintain automated dashboards and reports, translating complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations for marketing, finance, and leadership teams.
- Ensure data quality and governance by implementing automation, validation checks, and documentation to maintain reliable, timely data that supports scalable growth.
