Overview

Cactus Life Sciences partners with the global biopharma industry to drive innovation and elevate patient outcomes through agile, science-driven medical communications. We transform complex data into actionable insights, bridging the critical gaps between research, decision-making, and real-world healthcare impact. As a growing scientific communications agency, we are seeking a Senior Account Manager who willbe responsible formanaging accounts and standard projects independently, ensuring they are completed on budget, on schedule, and to the required specifications.

We are a remote-first organization, and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You maybe requiredto travel based on business requirements or for company/team events.


Please Note:
You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events (Use this option 1 when the position does not require travel to home office/client site). However, given the business requirements of this role, you are expected to frequently travel to our Mumbai office/location office (Use this option 2 for positions which require travel to office/client site). For this critical role, we are looking for the candidate to be based in Mumbai. You may choose to work from home in Mumbai however, you will be required to travel to our Andheri East office once a week for business requirements, meetings, or company/team events, or on short notice as needed, (Use this option 3 when looking for a candidate based in Mumbai)

Responsibilities

Client relationship accountability

  • Understand clientobjectives, adapt to their working style, and ensure all deliverables alignwithclient expectations
  • Proactivelyidentifychallenges and delivery risks, implementing solutions and corrective measures to strengthen partnerships andoptimiseoutcomes
  • Lead and support strategic, complex projects across therapeutic areas using compelling storytelling and impactful visual conceptualization
  • Encourage client feedback to drive improvement, and present new initiatives to stakeholders when appropriate

Workflows

  • Ensure a seamless client experience and drivetimelyproject closure to boost productivity
  • Review deliverablesto ensurealignment with clientobjectivesandmonitortimelines to ensure on-schedule delivery
  • Lead project kick-off and client calls, share scopes andMoMspromptly, and conduct debriefs to captureand implementlearnings
  • Maintain regular communication and take relevant actions with third parties that influence deliverables, such as congress secretariats

Project status and governance

  • Lead project status meetings withaccuratereporting to ensure alignment with client objectives
  • Support governance reporting with the Account Director through monthly and quarterly reviews

Organic Growth

  • Identifygrowth opportunities and support the Account Director with business forecasting

Qualifications and Prerequisites

  • Education: Degree minimum (life science degreeadvantageous) or demonstrable experience in medical communications or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience: 2+ years experience as an Account Manager within healthcare communications agencies,predominantly inthe medical affairs
  • Business skills:Strong client relationship-building and business communication skills with experience in managing small accounts and executing global programs while ensuring client satisfaction and trust

  • Business Acumen:Demonstratesstrong understanding of medical communications, has knowledge of client environments and market dynamics, and makes strategic decisions that drive value for both the company and its clients
  • Interpersonal Skills:Demonstratesstrong interpersonal skills by building rapport across diverse personalities, presenting facts objectively, owning mistakes, and solving problems with excellence
  • Technology skills: Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Microsoft Project), Adobe
  • AI Adaptability:Shows an eagerness to learn and apply AI tools and technologies
