Job Description

The Accountant / Financial Analyst position at CommuniCare Health Services is based in the corporate office in Blue Ash, Cincinnati, OH, with the possibility of hybrid work. You will primarily be responsible for fulfilling accounting and analytical needs for CommuniCare's Financial Leadership team, supporting the Reimbursement Department through data compilation, reporting, work paper preparation, and analysis. Your duties will include ad hoc reporting using various source systems, as well as developing and maintaining scorecards and dashboards.

To qualify for this role, you should have at least 5 years of accounting experience, including cost accounting. You should possess a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and have the ability to manage detailed tasks both independently and collaboratively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the capability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. A positive attitude, high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality are crucial attributes for success in this position. Experience with ERP systems such as Workday or Oracle is highly preferred.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of reports for Rate Analysis, conducting account reconciliations, fulfilling ad hoc requests, attending and noting minutes at State Health Care Meetings, updating and reviewing analyses of local competition, referrals, admissions, etc., maintaining up-to-date models and trackers, assisting in responding to information requests from State Associations, participating in monthly financial statement reviews, providing improvement suggestions, and conducting various analyses such as Rate Analysis, Quality Measure Analysis, and Acuity/Census Analysis.
