Join our laaeading-edge Data Engineering & Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) team to develop and deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) powered software solutions which support our business in an “AI First” fashion and have real-world impact. ResMed improves the lives of millions of patients with sleep apnea and similar conditions. Our billions+ nights of sleep data offer great opportunities for AI/ML applications. ResMed’s AI/ML team powers AI/ML products to support patient’s health such as personalized recommendations to patients to improve their sleep, automated identification of optimal equipment and settings, clinical models for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, and supply chain optimization.

Let’s Talk About The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building automation and leading-edge production code implementation around model development, deployment, and serving to optimize time to market and quality of Data Engineering/Processing applications. Specifically, you will work with Sr. Data engineers/Lead data engineers to ensure our global AI/ML/Data systems are production-grade, scalable and use the latest state of the art technology and methodology. You will help define and ensure best coding practices within the team of excellent and engaged engineers. You will be given creative freedom and opportunities to work on advanced Data problems, such as reinforcement learning and a self-serve Data platform. Lets Talk About Responsibilities

• Build scalable, highly performant infrastructure for delivering clear business insights from a variety of raw data sources.
• Develop batch & real-time analytical solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept for selected solutions. Build frameworks and tools to empower our data scientists and analysts.
• Implement complex analytical projects with a focus on collecting, managing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
• Responsible for the delivery of a robust scalable data architecture that meets the business goals of the organization.
• Be in constant communication with team members and other relevant parties and convey results efficiently and clearly.
• Lead technical initiatives on our team. Drive improvements to the codebase and processes.
• Contribute to planning and executing multi-sprint initiatives inside your team.
• Be able to not only solve complex problems, but also consider multiple solutions, weigh them and decide on the best course of action.
• Proactively identify technical debt and product areas that require attention or improvements and suggest improvements in our technology stack.
• Actively handle escalated incidents to resolution and suggest solutions to limit future exposure.
• Participate in Code Review and process improvement.

Lets Talk About Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor/Master/Engineering degree in IT/Computer Science/software engineering or relevant field.
• 4+ years of total experience in a complex, technical environment.
• Hands on Experience in designing and building robust, high-performance, Scalable and adaptable solution optimal for modern platform (Big Data/Relational/No-SQL/OLAP) with ability to integrate technical functionality
• Hands on experience with SQL, Java script, Golang, Python and Pandas.
• Familiarity with the principles of distributed computing and data modeling.
• Hands on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and Experience with Dev ops(CICD) services/tools.
• Extensive experience with object-oriented design and coding and testing patterns, including experience with engineering software platforms and data infrastructures.
• Hands on experience with Airflow, Building and implementing Rest APIs & Scala is a big plus.
• Hands on Experience and deep understanding on AWS tools and technologies like EC2, EMR, ECS, Docker,Lamda, Sagemaker.
• Hands on Experience and deep understanding of Spark Architecture and Data processing and tuning. Working experience with Dimensional Modelling.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be excited about collaborating daily with your team and other groups while working via a distributed model.
• Be eager to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience leading, supporting, and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
