Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analytics and a strong desire to work with big data to create meaningful insights that drive business decisions. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing statistical models, Machine Learning/ Deep Learning Models, data visualizations, and predictive analytics to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms
• Perform Data pre-processing techniques such as feature engineering, data cleaning, and data normalization specific to the project for development & deployment
• Design, Develop and implement predictive models to improve business outcomes and provide insights to key stakeholders
• Design and implement known validation & tests to evaluate the effectiveness of different models and algorithms
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure high-quality data inputs and outputs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
• Create data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
• Stay up to date with the latest data science tools and techniques and identify opportunities to apply them to solve business problems

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in data science or related field

Must Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python or R
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI or Plotly etc
• Familiarity with structured, unstructured, and database management example SQL
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks example TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Ability to design and implement known tests to evaluate the effectiveness of different models and algorithms
• Experience with data preprocessing techniques such as feature engineering, data cleaning, and data normalization
• Familiarity with time-series analysis and forecasting techniques
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Optional)
• Familiarity with PowerPoint would be handy
