Role Description

• Role is for Business Finance function for Fixed Income Credit product suit. Responsibility includes production of business level revenue attribution, financial accounting and financial disclosures. It ensures, on a daily basis, the accurate and timely reporting of Profit and Loss (PnL) for each business unit and ensures that the drivers behind the risk positions and PnL are fully understood and explained.
• It also ensures that all of the Banks transactions and positions are correctly reflected in the Banks accounting records and disclosures, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Monthly close the ledger accurately and timely for the products Balance sheet and Income statement.

Your key responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate and timely production of daily T+1 P&L production, attribution and analysis.
• Providing daily commentary and variance investigation to Front Office traders and senior Finance managers
• Break investigation and resolution: Model vs Actual (Ledger) Cash, FO/MO system vs trade docs etc
• Understand trade flows, booking structures and ensure that the trades are captured in accordance with such defined structure which will enable accurate funding cost allocation through Funds transfer pricing.
• Taking appropriate journals as per the accounting standards IFRS/US GAAP while observing all the controls.
• Independently investigate the control breaks, such as MA vs FA, Cash and Position FO vs BO, Balance sheet substantiation.
• Support audit queries promptly
• Model risk control exceptions resolution
• Ensure compliance to risk and control guidelines.
• Stakeholder management by prompt response to various queries/issues from Finance directors, onshore management, Front office traders, Fincon, Risk management, etc.

Your skills and experience

• Financial Control and product control experience in Investment Banking in Credit products.
• Extremely essential to have Fixed Income product knowledge i.e. Bonds, CDS, TRS, IRS & Loans along with F&O.

Get Hired
• IFRS/GAAP knowledge is preferred
• Strong knowledge / experience of front to back Investment Banking environment (trade capture to balance sheet)
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizes responsibilities, and escalates issues as necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong Word and Excel skills required. Proficiency in AI tools would be preferred.
• Exposure to multiple front office systems.

Education

• Preferably qualified MBA/Chartered Accountant / CPA / ACCA / CIMA / CFA.
