Role Description
This role is part of the global Chief Security Office (CSO) team based in Pune. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and strategic alignment of specific Network Security IT applications within CSO Chief Technology Office (CTO). This will include acting as the primary point of contact and accountability for Network Security IT applications throughout its lifecycle, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the application effectively supports organizational objectives. You will work closely with key stakeholders across networks, operations, architecture, and production support functions.

As an Information Technology Application Owner (ITAO), you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of a critical IT application, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and strategic alignment with business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
Drive Application Strategy & Roadmap
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and evolve the applications strategic vision and roadmap, aligning it with current and future business needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and champion opportunities for application enhancements, modernization, and integration to optimize business processes and achieve strategic goals.
- Oversee and enforce adherence to all relevant security policies, data privacy regulations and internal controls for the application.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to the application, providing comprehensive documentation and clear explanations.
- Lead and coordinate the response to any security incidents or major operational issues affecting the application, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact.
- Define, monitor, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for application availability, performance, and support, striving for continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify and address root causes of recurring application issues through effective problem management, implementing sustainable solutions.
- Ensure all application changes, including upgrades, patches, and new features, adhere to established change management processes, minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing services or components for the application, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business users for the application, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
- Provide regular, transparent updates on application status, performance, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior management and all relevant stakeholders.
- Understand the criticality of the data associated with the application, ensuring its quality, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies.
- Oversee data retention, archiving, and deletion policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly test comprehensive disaster recovery plans for the application to ensure business continuity in the event of a major outage.
- Ensure robust backup and restore procedures are in place and routinely validated to protect critical application data.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT roles, with at least 2-3 years specifically focused on application ownership, product management, or a similar function within a complex enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing critical enterprise applications, preferably in the financial services industry or a heavily regulated sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects and initiatives, including application enhancements, upgrades, and migrations.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration with a strong IT focus, or a related field.
- Masters degree (e.g., MBA, MS in IT Management) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CSM, CISM, CISSP) are highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge in current security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Logical, innovative, articulate, with the proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical teams and individuals.
- Highly proactive self-starting ethos, strong customer focus, strong work ethic, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
