Role Description

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work within software development projects using Angular to create new online banking customer processes. You will collaborate with several teams to develop new reusable front-end components and focus on the further development of critical online banking business processes, particularly in security procedures and payments/transactions. You will act as a key contact person for all frontend-related topics, coaching junior team members and ensuring solutions are highly scalable and performant under high load scenarios. You will also deliver training sessions and promote knowledge transfer as part of our frontend guild while working on a web application that is highly visible to customers and relevant to the Banks reputation.

Your key responsibilities

• Work as a Lead Frontend Engineer using Angular to create new online banking customer processes.
• Develop new reusable front-end components for online banking and other applications in collaboration with other teams.
• Act as a contact person for all frontend-related topics, including coaching junior members of the team.
• Deliver training sessions for other development teams and promote an efficient transfer of know-how.
• Ensure solutions are highly scalable and can operate flawlessly under high load scenarios (50,000-100,000 parallel customer accesses).
• Work on a highly visible web application that is relevant to the Deutsche Banks reputation.

Your skills and experience

Experience

• Several years of professional experience and expert knowledge in Single Page Applications with Angular, RxJS, and TypeScript in combination with REST-based APIs.
• Several years of professional experience and expert knowledge in responsive design using HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS (especially Bootstrap 4+).
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience in Frontend testing using Karma/Jasmine or Jest.
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience of NodeJS and REST Services.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2 AA Compliance (Accessibility).
• Experience in the NX mono repository toolset is a plus.

Soft Skills Communication

• Excellent analytical and communication skills, strong independence and initiative, and the ability to work in agile delivery teams.
• Experience in the technical and methodological coaching of junior UI/UX Engineers.
