Purpose:
The Fabric CMO is responsible for leading the marketing strategy for fabric products, managing the sales team, and driving business growth.
Context:
Arknine Technologies is currently geared for expansion, fabric marketing requires a deep understanding of client needs and market trends. The Fabric CMO ensures that the companys fabric products remain competitive and in demand.
Role Accountabilities:
- Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Generate leads and communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
- Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings,
- Have a good understanding of the businesses products or services and be able to advise others about them.
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.
- Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate.
- Determine key business development KPIs and lead the team, motivating them to achieve their targets.
- Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person towards closure and growing accounts.
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the companys CRM or other sales management system.
- Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and other personnel.
- Contribute to the reputation of the organization by entering and achieving professional awards.
- Drive monthly sales of ?34 crore+ and expand business across domestic and international markets.
- Lead, train, and motivate a 20+ member business development & marketing team, setting clear KPIs and ensuring CRM discipline. Represent the brand through exhibitions, trade shows, BTL activities, and market outreach.
- Coordinate with finance, marketing, dispatch, importexport, logistics, and warehousing for seamless operations.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Relevant bachelors degree
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record for business closures
- Skills in prioritising & triaging obligations
- Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
- Skills in competitive intelligence
Minimum Experience
15+ years experience in business development and sales of yarns and fabrics in the textile industry.
Experience in generating repeat business through existing clients and onboarding new clients.
