The Eli Lilly and Company Capability Center, India (LCCI) is expanding our Tech@Lilly (formerly IDS – Information Digital Services) team as part of Lilly’s broader IT strategy to support current and future application development needs across the enterprise. Lilly is looking for leaders across diverse areas of the IDS organization, including manufacturing, supply chain, Clinical Development, data platforms, analytics, infrastructure, sales and marketing, research and development, and information security.
Key Responsibilities

• Leadership at a Test Engineering Capability level:
• Build and lead a testing capability/testing centre of excellence, managing large and complex activities and processes across portfolios at scale.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership oversight for the programs under test engineering hub capability
• Re-defining the test engineering hubs operating model, to drive the overall transformation of our landscape from manual to automation testing, adopt innovative and modern testing methods like TDD/BDD etc.
• Develop frameworks and processes to provide leadership oversight across portfolios at scale.
• Develop and implement robust governance and reporting process and provide updates to executive management and key stakeholders
• Drive the development of test strategy and test architecture for an entire function spanning multiple portfolios and projects.
• Assess various areas and develop test strategies, providing testing as a service for entire portfolios.
• Build testing capabilities, frameworks, best practices, assess tools, and implement TDD/BDD, Co-Pilot, etc., with a testing platform-as-a-service mindset.
• Promote test engineering hub and cross-collaborate with different business function teams, account teams, engineering hubs and enablement teams like Enterprise Testing, Enterprise Architecture etc within the organisation.
• Define test strategies and roadmaps and drive continuous testing and innovation to achieve acceleration and quality meeting business objectives.
  
• Provide technical expertise in Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Test Automation, Tools and Techniques across the teams.
• Test Management:
• Perform all test/management activities - resource management, monitor and control, manage risks and issues, manage quality
• Responsible for managing the overall testing effort and deliverables, work with testing team to ensure that testing is on time and within budget
• Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation, and schedules for successful program delivery.
• Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA teams.
• Manage risks and issues and ensure timely resolution and escalation as appropriate.
• Work with Development managers and the Software Development Leadership to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and functions quality goals.
• People and Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills combined with flexibility working in a ambiguous, dynamic, fast moving product development environment.
• Deliver a clear test strategy, plan and test scripts in accordance with tight project timelines. Ensure all key business stakeholders are aligned with test documentation.
• Manage and coordinate internal testing resources and third parties/vendors
• Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognized Best Practices.
• Collaborate with a global team, including IDS business area leaders, architects, project managers, designers, and other developers.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills, teamwork and people development.
• Coach and develop team members through performance management, development planning, promotion, and career plans; represent those team members in talent discussions.

• Proven track records of setting up and building testing capability/testing centre of excellence with a strong engineering mindset and not just service or staffing mindset.
• About 12+ years of overall experience and at least 4+ years in a Test Manager role, managing a team of engineers & leads involved in test automation projects.
• Experience with functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, data testing, cross platform testing, component testing, security testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing.
• Experience with automation testing in a cloud environment
• Hands On Experience with various automation tools like Selenium and Cypress. Knowledge of Integrations with other testing frameworks (TestNG , Cucumber , Data Driven Frameworks)
• Thorough understanding of performance testing and automation testing.
• Experience in monitoring and tracking QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes
• Advanced working knowledge of test engineering processes and methodologies; Expertise in test planning, test case management, code coverage and defect analysis.
• Significant hands-on experience in project management and Agile/Scrum product development life cycles
• Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing, and retaining high performing QA team.
• Understanding of compliances and documentation processes of healthcare/pharma industry.
• Proven track record in capacity management and project estimation
• Strong background having breadth of experience and technical knowledge
  

Nice To Have

• Lead teams to rationalize, optimize and support applications for maximum speed and scalability with industry best practices.
• Proven experience leading a team in a regulated industry including but not limited to, understanding regulations, SOPs, computer systems validation, and change control.
• Preferred to have experience / interest related to Pharma domain
