The Associate Professor plays a key role in curriculum delivery across undergraduate programs, actively engages in scholarly activity, and fosters an inclusive and a supportive learning environment. Beyond teaching, the role involves contributing to curriculum innovation, collaborating with colleagues across UNSW campuses, and participating in initiatives that strengthen academic quality and institutional reputation. Skills & Exper

ience A PhD in statistics, data science or relevant mathematical scie

nces. A substantial record of publications in top, peer-reviewed journals in statistics, data science or mathema

tics. Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leader

ship. Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and deli

very. Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery met

hods. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g., relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and sca

les). Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Strong track record of successful postgraduate supervi

sion. A track record of significant involvement with the profession and/or indu

stry. Demonstrated record of competitive external research fun

ding. High level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and s
