Payroll Processing:

Collect, review, and process employee time and attendance records.

Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and withholdings accurately.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll cycles, including managing pay periods and pay dates.

Prepare and distribute paychecks or electronic transfers to employees.

Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Compliance and Reporting:

Maintain knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

Ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.

Prepare and submit payroll-related reports and filings to government agencies, such as tax withholding

Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Benefits Administration:

Collaborate with HR and benefits providers to administer employee benefits programs.

Ensure accurate and timely deductions for benefits, such as health insurance, and flexible spending accounts.

Process and monitor benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.

Recordkeeping and Documentation:

Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records for all employees.

Generate payroll reports, including payroll summaries, earnings statements, and tax forms.

Create and maintain employee payroll files and documentation.

Support internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits.

System Maintenance:

Utilize payroll software or systems to process payroll accurately and efficiently.

Collaborate with IT or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues.

Assist in testing and implementing system upgrades or enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).

Previous experience in payroll processing and administration.

Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Familiarity with payroll software or systems.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
