Management Accountant

On behalf of our client, an e-commerce business with operations across the Middle East and Africa, we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support the Finance Director across accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting.

This is a hands-on role suited to an early career finance professional with practical UAE VAT experience and exposure to UAE Corporate Tax, an individual who is comfortable taking ownership and working across month-end close, audits and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records for UAE entities in line with IFRS

Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

Manage UAE VAT compliance, including return preparation, reconciliations and audits

Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including data preparation and filings

Assist with statutory audits and regulatory submissions

Perform bank, vendor and inter-company reconciliations

Support payment processing and cashflow reporting

Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders

Ideal Candidate

UAE-based mid-level management accountant

Hands-on, detail-oriented and commercially aware

Comfortable working closely with senior finance leadership

Able to work independently and meet regulatory and reporting deadlines

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum 5 years accounting experience, including 23 years in the UAE

Strong, hands-on UAE VAT experience (essential)

Exposure to UAE Corporate Tax

Solid knowledge of IFRS

Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems

Professional qualification or working towards (ACCA / CPA / CMA) an advantage

Arabic language skills an advantage
