Investment Banking Analyst - M&A Execution

What role will you play in the team:

As an Investment Banking Analyst in M&A Execution, you'll be a vital part of our deal teams. You will support senior bankers in all phases of M&A transactions, from initial pitch to closing, contributing directly to the success of our firm and the achievement of client objectives by supporting the senior team and gaining exposure to transactions.

What you will do:

You will perform detailed financial analysis, conduct industry research, and develop presentation materials to support deal execution. Your work will be crucial in providing clients with strategic advice and ensuring the smooth completion of mergers and acquisitions. This role requires both analytical rigor and creative problem-solving, giving you the chance to hone your skills and expand your knowledge.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis and build complex financial models, including valuation models (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis).
• Perform in-depth industry research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets for M&A transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of pitch books, presentations, and other materials for client meetings and deal negotiations.
• Support the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing data, coordinating with external advisors, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.

• Maintain and update transaction databases and assist in the preparation of internal reports.
• Stay current with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
• Support senior bankers in managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
• 0-1 years of experience in investment banking, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Proficiency in financial software and databases, including Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, Capital IQ, and Excel (including macros and VBA).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
