Investment Banking Analyst - M&A
Job Description
What role will you play in the team: You will be an integral part of the M&A team, providing crucial analytical support in deal execution. Your contributions will directly influence the success of our client's strategic financial decisions. You'll work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining invaluable experience in the world of investment banking.
What you will do: You will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, building financial models, and assisting in the preparation of client presentations. Your work will involve deep dives into company financials, market research, and valuation analysis to support M&A transactions.
Key responsibility:
- Conducting thorough financial statement analysis and industry research.
- Building and maintaining complex financial models using Excel.
- Performing valuation analysis using DCF, LBO, and comparable company methods.
- Assisting in the preparation of pitchbooks and presentations for clients.
- Supporting due diligence processes and data gathering.
- Monitoring market trends and identifying potential M&A opportunities.
- Maintaining databases of financial data and transaction information.
- Collaborating with senior bankers and legal teams to execute transactions.
- Presenting analysis and findings to senior team members.
- Managing and organizing transaction-related documents and data.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling techniques and VBA macros.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, and Capital IQ.
- Solid knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, Comps).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in M&A or related finance roles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
