Sr. Accounts Officer -Finalization/Management Accounting

:

1. End-to-End Management of Property Accounts:
2. Responsible for accounting functions for three properties, including Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury, Record-to-Report (R2R), and entity-level accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial deliverables.
3. Accounts Payable Management:
4. Post AP invoices, review aged creditor reports, and manage supplier queries to maintain strong relationships with key vendors. Perform supplier statement reconciliations for critical suppliers to ensure accounts are current.
5. Treasury and Bank Reconciliation:
6. Handle treasury-related taskstasks, including bank postings and performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records
7. Property Management Accounts Preparation:
8. Prepare detailed property management accounts for three properties, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition principles, prepayments, accruals, and ledger scrutiny. Conduct thorough variance analysis to support decision-making.
9. Balance Sheet Preparation:
10. Produce monthly balance sheets, ensuring all schedules and relevant analyses are included. Scrutinise open items and take corrective actions to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
    
11. Monthly Forecasting:
12. Prepare monthly financial forecasts, identifying potential financial risks or opportunities and ensuring accurate projection of financial performance.
13. Audit Support:
14. Provide support during internal and external audits by responding to audit queries, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
15. Process Improvement / Modelling and Reporting Efficiencies:
16. Continuously look for ways to improve processes and operational efficiencies, leveraging your accounting expertise to drive better performance across AP, Treasury, and reporting functions.
17. Build and maintain financial models in Excel to support reporting needs, financial forecasting, and scenario analysis.
18. Create clear, user-friendly templates and worksheets for ongoing financial analyses and reports.
19. Process Documentation and SOP Maintenance:
20. Ensure all processes are documented thoroughly and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational activities

Key Skills:

1.  Education -- M.com/ MBA/CA/ACCA/Inter CA
2. Strong Accounting Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all deliverables.
3. Management Accounting Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Management Accountant, with a focus on handling complex financial processes. Experience in the hotel or student accommodation sectors is a strong advantage.
4. Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools, to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
5. Effective Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial data and collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Proven problem-solving ability to resolve financial discrepancies and operational challenges.
6. Adaptability in Fast-Paced Environments: Experience working in dynamic and challenging environments, with strong prioritization and multitasking skills to effectively manage competing deadlines and responsibilities.
7. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset
8. Software experience - Experience in Sage50 / Xero accounting software will be added advantage.
