Lead Accounting Manager - Remote

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accounting Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting transactions and work closely with project managers to ensure accuracy in accounting processes. Your expertise in government contracting and tools such as Unanet will be pivotal as you ensure compliance and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly while being part of a collaborative, fun, and dynamic team culture. Your attention to detail and technical accounting skills will directly impact the companys success. This is a six-month temporary role that may transition into a permanent position.
Accountabilities

• Process accounts payable, vendor payments and credit card reconciliation
• Review and approve expense reports
• Enter accounts receivable payments
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, reconciliations, journal entries
• Process payroll, timesheet monitoring and posting
• Serve as Unanet Administrator, enter new hires and terminations, new organizational setup
• Collaborate with project managers on employee project assignments to ensure accuracy
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting industry
• Must have Unanet experience
• Paycom experience would be helpful
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, DCAA and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
