Job Description
The Customer Analytics and Oversight Team, as part of the Credit Risk Team functions as a Second Line of Defense role, responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing risk reporting and performing analytics to assess the credit quality of a range of new consumer lending products.
As a part of the Customer Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to develop, maintain, and enhance risk reporting and perform analytics to assess credit quality for a range of existing and new consumer lending products, strategies and processes within the team. As an associate you are also expected to conduct complex analysis and provide accurate and concise results with recommendations to management.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform analysis and preparation of reports detailing inherent risks in the ICB credit risk portfolio for both internal and external use.
- Run the monthly metrics and KRI reporting to track profile and performance on our retail credit portfolio, identify and evaluate trend variances.
- Collaborate with risk reporting, risk management, finance and technology teams across locations, as required.
- Prepare presentations to senior management team to articulate key risks and trends.
- Participate in preparing regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc deliverables, as required.
- Perform independent review of the reports prior to distribution, ensuring reasonableness and integrity of risk information.
- Produce enhancements to underlying report production processes, where required.
- Engage with teams across the broader risk organisation to understand current reporting objectives and deliverables.
- Work with technology to ensure system enhancements are aligned with the needs of management reporting.
- Contribute to the development of AI risk models.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Candidate should have a minimum 2 years experience as a risk specialist in the retail financial services industry.
- Minimum Bachelors degree level education.
- Proven ability and expertise with full suite of Microsoft packages Looker, SQL / Python Programming.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within teams inclusively of others across a diverse level of seniority, based in different locations and functions.
- Ability to work with large, complex data sets with a sense of direct ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated with an ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and execute to completion.
- Well versed in developing new ideas and process re-engineering.
