As a Quality Review & Control (QR&C) Analyst in our Bank Controller, Accounting Policy & Reporting organization, you will spend each day ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of Earnings Per Share (EPS) reporting, while maintaining and enhancing existing controls in collaboration with the EPS Functional Lead. You will be responsible for conducting quality reviews of the firms key documents, including the Investor Day deck, Shareholder Letter, and Line of Business CEO Letters. Your role will also involve supporting the review of external financial reports and presentations, such as earnings materials, the Annual Report, and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, Proxy, 11-K), as well as managing issues and errors for SEC reports. Through your work, you will help uphold JPMorgan Chases reputation for best-in-class financial reporting and support both internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and quarterly Earnings Per Share (EPS) calculations.
- Act as the primary preparer for the majority of aspects of the EPS calculation.
- Manage quarterly and annual reviews of EPS by PWC in partnership with the QRC team.
- Conduct annual EPS technical accounting reviews with Corporate Accounting Policies.
- Collaborate with the EPS Production Lead to enhance existing EPS accounting and controls documentation by identifying and eliminating documentation gaps, maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures, and developing flowcharts to highlight key processes, risks, controls, gaps, and relationships to EPS accounting requirements.
- Assist in researching and responding to EPS variance and analytical review questions.
- Partner with other areas of the firm involved with EPS, such as HR Compensation & Benefits and HR Accounting, to ensure successful outcomes.
- Contribute to quality reviews of the Shareholder Letter, Investor Day deck, and LOB CEO Letters.
- Work on the weekly Issues & Errors process, identifying impacts in 10-K, 10-Q, and Bank Financials.
- Manage the monthly PWC fees process, prepare the JPMC Hierarchy file, and respond to ad hoc requests from auditors and the controls team.
- 1 year of accounting and financial reporting experience
- Controls driven and agile mindset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills ability to articulate needs and interface with peers, cross LOB teams and management
- Proficiency with MS Office tools
- Ability to work independently and contribute to the team objectives
- Ability to identify and communicate issues in a timely manner

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (preferred) or a Masters degree in Finance/Accounting
- Open to working in EMEA shift (1:30 PM to 10:30 PM) and should be able to deliver to tight deadlines. Occasional stretch of 2-3 hrs. during quarter ends
- Additional knowledge of business intelligent tools like - Alteryx, Tableau, Python would be beneficial
