The Marketing & PR Manager is responsible for leading marketing and public relations initiatives that strengthen KZC's brand positioning, market credibility, and reputation. The role bridges marketing, PR, and business development, shaping how KZC is perceived by clients, media, and industry collaborators, while directly supporting revenue growth, talent attraction, and long-term brand equity.
Working closely with the CEO, Design Directors, and Business Development team, the Marketing & PR Manager ensures that all communications and brand activities are aligned with KZC's strategic priorities and consistently contribute to brand strength, pipeline development, and commercial growth
What You'll Do
Brand Strategy and Leadership
- Own and continuously evolve KZC's global brand narrative and positioning.
- Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and quality across all markets, offices, and platforms.
- Act as guardian of the KZC brand, protecting its integrity, prestige, and creative reputation.
- Articulate and communicate a distinctive design-led brand narrative that reinforces KZC's premium positioning and supports value-driven pricing.
Market Development and Research
- Support expansion into new sectors and regions through market research, competitive analysis, and targeted marketing and PR campaigns.
- Provide leadership with insights on market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic decision-making.
- Localize marketing initiatives to suit regional markets while maintaining a consistent global brand identity.
PR & Global Media
- Develop and execute a global PR and communications strategy aligned with KZC's growth priorities.
- Lead relationships with international design, hospitality, lifestyle, and business media.
- Secure high-impact coverage for KZC projects, leadership, and studio achievements.
- Act as the primary gatekeeper for all media engagement, interviews, and press activity.
Design Storytelling
- Translate design vision, project narratives, and creative intent into compelling external stories.
- Oversee press releases, features, awards submissions, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities.
- Ensure KZC's work is communicated with the same level of sophistication as the design itself.
Content and Communication
- Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality, design-led content across all channels, including project narratives, website updates, social media, newsletters, and client communications.
- Ensure all content is strategic, relevant, and aligned with business development priorities, brand positioning, and commercial objectives.
- Balance creative storytelling with clear business outcomes, supporting market visibility, client engagement, and revenue growth.
Digital Marketing and Online Presence
- Manage website performance, SEO, and analytics
- Direct social and digital strategy to build KZC's authority, visibility, and cultural relevance.
- Use digital channels to support client acquisition, recruitment, and global brand reach.
- Monitor and improve user engagement and conversion metrics
Business Development Enablement
- Partner with the Business Development team to ensure all proposals, credentials, and presentations reflect KZC's brand positioning and design excellence.
- Support senior leadership in winning new clients through storytelling, differentiation, and credibility.
Revenue, Pipeline Support, and Performance Management
- Develop and execute integrated marketing and PR strategies aligned with annual revenue and studio growth targets, prioritizing spend based on ROI and Business Impact.
- Support Business Development through targeted, qualified lead-generation initiatives focused on priority clients and sectors.
- Plan and align campaigns with key markets, geographies, project typologies, and strategic client segments.
- Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance, including contribution to pipeline development, tenders, and project wins.
- Continuously optimize strategies based on performance insights to maximize brand impact and business growth.
Industry & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry leaders, partners, media, and relevant institutions to strengthen KZC's market presence and credibility.
- Act as a brand ambassador across industry platforms, ensuring KZC is represented and present at high-impact events, panels, awards, and networking opportunities where appropriate.
- Position Kristina Zanic and KZC as recognised thought leaders within the global hospitality and design sector through strategic visibility, partnerships, and industry engagement.
Internal Brand Leadership
- Act as a senior cultural leader within the studio, ensuring teams understand how KZC presents itself to the world.
- Maintain professional standards, brand alignment, and communication discipline across all offices.

Other Responsibilities
- Be responsible for ensuring that a professional, neat and tidy appearance is portrayed at all times, including leading by example through maintaining high standards of morale and appearance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Branding, Design, or related field
- At least 10 years of senior-level experience in PR, branding, or communications within design, hospitality, luxury, or creative industries
- Proven experience managing global brand positioning
- Proven working experience in marketing and public relations required
- Strong commercial mindset with revenue awareness
- Proven track record designing and executing successful marketing and public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
- Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
- Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
- Solid experience with social media including blogs, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
- Presentation skills with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting both project and statutory requirements
- Event planning experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Languages & Skills
- Excellent English skills (written, reading, spoken)
- Required to have advanced knowledge of MS Office, and other design related software knowledge
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
