What we are looking for:

The Senior Data Analyst will deliver actionable insights by working exclusively within the Microsoft Azure Data Stack, including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and related services. Embedded as a consultant within Microsoft, this role will partner with business and engineering teams to analyze complex datasets, uncover trends, and provide data-driven recommendations. The analyst will ensure all reporting solutions meet Microsofts governance and compliance standards while leveraging Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities to accelerate analysis and enhance decision-making. This position requires advanced technical skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate findings into clear, impactful insights for stakeholders.

Shift timings: US Overlapping hours(2PM-11PM)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth data analysis using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory to deliver measurable business impact
• Leverage Microsoft Copilot for Power BI, Fabric, and Azure services to accelerate insight generation, automate data preparation, and enhance storytelling
• Clean, transform, and analyze data using SQL and Azure-native tools; use Python or PySpark for advanced analytics when needed
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models that present insights in a clear, actionable format
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business goals and deliver high-value recommendations
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance in line with Microsofts security and compliance framework
• Integrate and explore data using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse
• Apply advanced analytics techniques such as forecasting, statistical modeling, or machine learning where appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and data storytelling skills
• Proficiency in SQL and Azure-native data manipulation tools
• Experience with Power BI, including advanced visualization and data modeling techniques
• Experience with Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, and related tools
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
• Experience with Python or PySpark for scripting and advanced analytics
• Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and AI-powered analytics in Power BI
• Knowledge of forecasting, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics techniques
