What's the role?:
SUMMARY OF JOB
The Local Data Intelligence Analyst II contributes to verification of Map Features, for processing and analyzing spatial data, supporting production units for the expansion and maintenance of content products for a specific geographic or functional area. The LDI Analyst will work under close supervision of a LDI Team Lead and as part of a high performing team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use tools like ARCGIS, FME, Python to provide deep technical analysis for available data sets (e.g., road geometry, navigable attributes, POIs, addressing data, GPS Probe points, etc.) and leverage this data spatially for maintenance in depth and identify areas of opportunity to improve location data content and its attributes.
  • Support map project efforts with MCO teams in functional or geographic areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure accurate representation of real-world conditions in the database in a defined geographic area including monitoring and interpretation of contextual local change detection signals.
  • Under the close support of a Senior or Team Lead, conduct database testing and inspection within a defined area as part of database ownership and take advantage of massive amounts of structured data to understand how to improve the location data.
  • Ensure High Priority Updates coding activities are performed and coded where required by providing the required technical support to the content operation departments and ability to translate your technical knowledge to efficiently code priority areas in the map.
  • Work carried out according to procedures and uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations.
  • Participates as individual contributor to team, usually in an entry level professional role.
  • Operates within guidelines for non-standard situations.
  • Makes decisions affecting own work within set parameters.
  • Requires supervision and coaching from Sr LDI Analyst or peers and receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Gathers relevant information to support problem solving and decision making.
Who are you?:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ year work experience.
  • Advanced Technical Skills in ArcGIS moderate skills on FME, Machine Learning, Python.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English and preferably one additional foreign language.
  • Ability to work independently within their discipline.
  • Expertise in JIRA and Confluence
  • Understanding of concept of Agile Way of Working
  • Strong cultural awareness
  • Strong presentation skills - Ability to distill insights & articulate an actionable point of view to non-technical audiences; Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders; Good command of storytelling and presentation techniques (e.g., slide making, data visualization). Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
