Accounting Manager - CA

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to be responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions of the company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a deep understanding of financial systems and strong command of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow transactions. This role requires a sharp focus on revenue operations, including billing, contract management, and integration with Workday PSA (Professional Services Automation).

This role will partner closely with the Senior Accounting Manager and the Director of Finance to develop processes, procedures and to create efficiencies where possible as we look to scale the business in the US and India. Responsibilities:

• Drive revenue recognition accuracy by managing billing, contracts, and revenue schedules in alignment with Workday PSA and company policies.
• Assist on the implementation of financial systems and processes including General Ledger, billing, T&E, and AP procurement.
• Manage the month-end financial close process, ensuring all revenue and expenses are properly recorded and balance sheet and bank reconciliations are complete across multiple entities.
• Maintain the Companys general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, including preparing and posting of journal entries such as fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany adjustments.
• Prepare financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and record appropriate journal entries in coordination with the Accounting Manager.
• Research technical accounting issues to ensure company compliance.
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reports and tax requirements, including monthly and annual sales tax filings.
• Lead the year-end financial statement audit in collaboration with external auditors, as well as any statutory audits that may arise.
• Assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of reporting materials for the Board of Directors.
• Serve as the primary liaison with banks, auditors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
• Support FP&A efforts including budgeting, cash flow projections, tax planning, and ad hoc business analytics.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in public, startup, or corporate accounting.
• Chartered Accountant and/or CPA (USA); Diploma in IFRS with a university degree in Commerce.

• Knowledge of Indian GAAP is required. Exposure to US GAAP is a plus.
• Advanced MS Excel skills are required; PowerPoint is a plus.
• Understanding of the Income Tax Act, GST, Companies Act 2013, FEMA, Labor Laws, and other statutory & legal requirements.
• Strong understanding of treasury and forex principles.
• Proven ability to manage revenue-side operations including billing cycles, contract compliance. PSA integration is a plus.
• Experience with Workday (especially Workday PSA and Financials) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively.
