Head Of Global Markets - Product Control

Role and Responsibilities

As the Head of Global Markets PC you will be responsible to

• Lead the end-to-end Markets Product Control and controllership function for the CIB Markets business. Manage and oversees trading activities, providing insights and analysis to support the business
• Ensure robust financial governance, accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting, and full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Acts as a strategic finance partner to CIB and Markets CFOs, supporting business growth , new product launches and risk and compliances .
  
• Drives the design and implementation of best-in-class control frameworks across revenue recognition (IFRS 9, IFRS 15), daily P&L reporting, P&L attribution, and balance sheet substantiation.
• Owns regulatory relationships and audit outcomes across jurisdictions, ensuring best-in-class compliance with accounting standards, conduct frameworks, and risk controls
• Design and operate a robust control environment for Finance processes to maintain the integrity, valuation, and accuracy of the Banks records.
• Interacts and manage various stakeholders such as the front office, trading desk , market risk, technical accounting, finance, internal audit, compliance, operational risk, regulators, and external auditors.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the role , you will need to have ;

• A Bachelors degree OR a Masters Degree in accounting, finance, or any related field ; preferably with a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, CFA) .
• Over 15 years of working experience in Global Markets product Control and a strong exposure to Markets products like FX, FXO, Rates, XVA, Commodities and Credit .
• A deep technical knowledge of Product Control frameworks (e.g., IFRS9, IAS 39) and practical experience in financial instrument valuation
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to build an effective internal network across the numerous stakeholders.
