Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of 5 to 7 Finance, Tax, and Operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Build and scale a motivated and high-performing team that consistently delivers strong operational outcomes while remaining adaptive and agile to evolving business needs.
• Foster a culture of innovative thinking and business partnering to collaboratively solve complex problems.
• Communicate and present effectively; adjust to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across.

• Financial Reporting, Operational Accounting & Analysis:
• Oversee and ensure the integrity of the monthly financial close-to-report process, delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial information.
• Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters, as needed, related to business transactions or changes to accounting standards.

• Oversee accounts payable operations, leveraging technology to optimize efficiency while maintaining robust controls and mitigating risk. Collaborate across departments to use financial and non-financial data for insightful decision-making, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

• Regulatory and Statutory Compliance:
• Stay abreast of evolving regulatory framework and ensure all compliances applicable to a Private Limited Company in India, including direct and indirect tax laws, company law matters, RBI, ROC, MCA, STPI, PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity and other secretarial compliance.
• Drive effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including global teams, to manage statutory and group compliance inquiries.

• Technology and Process Optimization:
• Collaborate with the Financial Systems Team and other cross-functional teams to identify, document and implement innovative workflow improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Enable data-driven decision-making by strengthening business intelligence capabilities.
• Provide strong requirement documentation in preparation of workflow automation.
• Champion the adoption of digital tools and technologies to streamline financial workflows and support ongoing improvements and process optimizations.

• Financial Planning:
• Oversee the India financial planning and forecasting processes in coordination with headquarters, aligning financial goals with organizational objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelors degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 2 years management experience is required.
  

Additional Qualifications

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline along with Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification.
• 7+ years of progressive experience, including significant experience in accounting and the technology sector.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing professional-level finance staff.
• Proven experience working in a multi-national environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage and build trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical mindset with capability to interpret and articulate complex regulatory and compliance requirements with precision and finesse.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to partner and iterative problem-solving skills to support informed and effective decision-making.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, with a strong understanding of their application in financial processes.
