Job Summary: The Data & Analytics Senior Manager is responsible to provide technical leadership to the departments build and operations activities, ensuring efficient and effective delivery to support business decision-making. This role involves managing resources, developing and implementing strategies, and ensuring the alignment of initiatives with business and organization goals.
Mandatory requirement : Azure technologies understanding and has preferably led an Azure data and analytics team
Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
• Lead and manage the team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Mentor high impact leadership teams.
• Build and maintain employee morale and motivation.
• Manage hiring and development of team, provide performance reviews, pay increase and ensure consistent application of organization policies.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and its impact on data & analytics strategies.
• Encourage an innovative, problem-solving culture within the team.
• Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement data & analytics strategies that align with the companys business objectives and goals.
• Act as key advisor to IT leadership, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and trends.
• Comply with architectural principles and industry/organization standards, company policies, industry regulations and best practices.
  
• Promote culture of innovation, encouraging exploration of innovative technologies.
• Continuously seek opportunities to automate, improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of delivery.
• Project Management:
• Oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required standards.
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data and analytics to support business decision-making.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with offshore/onsite managers and leadership to align with department goals
• Facilitate effective communication between onshore and offshore teams.
• Work closely with other departments to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Address and resolve department related issues promptly and effectively.
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A masters degree is optional.
• Experience:
• 15 plus years of IT experience
• Have led teams and projects
• Experience working in an onshore-offshore model

  5 years in a senior management role
• 8 years of experience working in BI, data and analytics
• at least 2 years of experience working in Azure implementations
• Working experience in data modelling, ETL process data pipeline development
• Familiarity with data governance, security and company best practices
• Worked in both development and support/run projects
• Excellent analytical & logical reasoning skills.
• Leadership Skills:
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Led projects as delivery, program manager for large scale projects.
• Technical skills:
• Proficiency in Azure tools and/or cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, ADLS, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, ADF, star schema, Power BI, Lakehouse.
• Both development and support skills.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and scalability.
