Associate Legal Counsel

We are looking for lawyers with strong foundational skills in legal analysis, reasoning, and writing who can help us with with a variety of legal work.

What you'll do:

• Legal research and contract drafting (MSAs, SLAs, NDAs) in different jurisdictions across the US, Canada, UK, and India while consulting our external counsel in the relevant jurisdictions when necessary.
• For an acquired legal software business: drafting and maintaining legal document templates (including employment contracts and HR policies) by researching relevant changes in the laws and consulting our external counsel when necessary.
• Drafting and reviewing corporate documents, board resolutions, and regulatory filings in India, and other jurisdictions with the assistance of external counsel.
• Drafting terms of service, privacy, and data protection policies for our software products and maintaining them to stay compliant with relevant laws (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA) and protect our intellectual property.
• Everything in between the above, and beyond!

While deep and specialized knowledge is always appreciated, considering the breadth of the scope of legal work you may be tasked with, we are primarily interested in your foundational legal skills and your capacity to learn whatever is necessary to get the job done. Youll also need excellent English proficiency and some familiarity with the modern tools and technology that powers software businesses like ours.
