Senior Accountant

Job Title : Accountant

Mumtalakat Real Estate is a leading real estate company based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in property management, leasing, and asset management across the UAE. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Finance team in Abu Dhabi.

The Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager and support all accounting functions related to the company's real estate portfolio and operations.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Ensure timely processing of bank payments and collections.
• Prepare full set of accounting functions (AR, AP, GL, fixed assets).

• Perform detailed general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
• Manage tenant billing, lease accounting, and service charge reconciliations.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and ensure clean ledger positions.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and management reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns and related taxation schedules in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding reconciling items.
• Liaise with external auditors for annual audit and statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proved Accounting experience (real estate experience preferred).

• Experience in ERP systems (Tally, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
• Advanced computer skills, especially in Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Team player with initiative to improve processes and develop new tools.
