Key responsibilities include reconciling metal stocks, analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining accurate daily ledgers, and ensuring profitability through detailed financial reporting.
Core ResponsibilitiesInventory & Stock Reconciliation: Tracking raw materials (gold, silver, stones) from procurement to production, and performing regular stock audits to prevent loss.Financial Recording & Reporting: Maintaining daily records of sales, purchases, and expenses; preparing balance sheets and cash flow statements.Specialized Billing: Generating invoices with detailed breakdowns of weight, purity, stone carat, and labor charges.Cost Accounting & Pricing: Analyzing manufacturing overheads, wastage, and material costs to determine accurate product pricing.Compliance & Tax: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS) and managing statutory filings.Audit Support: Assisting with internal and external audits of high-value inventory and transactions. Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in Accounting Software: Experience with ERP systems or specialized jewellery software (e.g., Tally).Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy required for tracking high-value assets.Knowledge of Industry Norms: Understanding of karatage, stone grading, and metal market rates.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data to identify profit margins and trends.Qualifications: Usually a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (e.g., B.Com, M.Com, CA, ACCA).
