Summary

The Cash Management SME leads day-to-day cash management and liquidity management activities. This position is accountable for the full scope of cash and liquidity management activities, including bank relationship management, forecasting, variance analysis, and maintaining bank account signatories. The Cash Management SME also contributes to policy compliance, reporting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Daily Cash Positioning & Forecasting
  
  -Reconcile daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Consolidate cash flow inputs to support short-term liquidity forecasts and identify determine cash position to Treasury.
• Cash Flow & Liquidity Forecasting -Support cash flow forecasts based on actual transactions and planned activities to support effective financial planning and decision-making.
• Bank Account & In-House Bank Operations & Bank Fee Analysis - Manage daily bank account activities, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date. Analyse and reconcile monthly bank charges to ensure cost accuracy and compliance
• Period-End Reporting -Prepare and analyse cash management reports for month-end close, including cash position summaries and bank reconciliations.
• Controls & Compliance -Ensure adherence to internal control requirements, documentation standards, and company policies.

Position requirements:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 6-8 years in cash management, treasury, or banking.
• SAP Treasury, Blackline, MS Excel (Advances), home banking systems, strong analytical and reporting capability, understanding of liquidity management principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all treasury modules and complex bank account revaluations

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical / Functional Knowledge: Possesses a strong working knowledge of end-to-end Cash Management / Treasury processes within the Record To Report workstream and ability to interpret and validate documents in the context of company policies
• Problem solving: Identifies and resolves complex queries using a logical, data-driven approach to investigate root causes. Exercises sound judgement when handling non-standard issues
• Organisation expertise: Collaborates effectively with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. Treasury)
• Accountability: Takes ownership of queries raised and follows through on resolutions and deadlines.
• Leadership: Supports onboarding and training of new analysts by sharing knowledge, documentation, and best practices. Represents the Cash Management team as required.
