Job Position- Interior Designer Team Lead
Location- Abu Dhabi
Minimum Years of Experience - 6 to 8

1. Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership & Delivery
- Lead all interior design projects from concept design to construction issue drawings.
- Oversee space planning, concept development, design development, and detailed design stages.
- Ensure all designs align with client briefs, approved budgets, timelines, and execution constraints.
- Review and approve all design outputs, including layouts, 3D visuals, material palettes, and technical drawings.
2. Client Management
- Act as the primary design point of contact for clients.
- Conduct client meetings, design presentations, and manage approval processes.
- Manage client expectations, scope clarity, and design revisions in line with contractual agreements.
- Ensure all design approvals are secured prior to procurement and site execution.
3. Team Management & Coordination
- Lead and manage the interior design team, including designers, draftsmen, and FF&E specialists.
- Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor workload distribution across projects.
- Review team outputs for quality, accuracy, and consistency prior to issuance.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and ongoing support to team members.
4. Technical & Documentation Control
- Establish and enforce CAD standards, drawing templates, title blocks, and layer systems.
- Review and coordinate design drawings with BOQs, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Ensure all design documentation is construction-ready and compliant with company standards.
- Maintain organized design records, drawing logs, and revision control.
5. Design & Build Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement, technical, and site teams to ensure design intent is achievable and cost-aligned.
- Review material selections, joinery details, and FF&E specifications prior to procurement.
- Support technical teams in resolving design-related site issues.
- Conduct site visits for design supervision, clarification, and coordination.
6. Commercial & Contractual Support
- Support Business Development and Management in defining design scopes, fees, and deliverables.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing design proposals and agreements.
- Ensure design activities align with approved scopes and avoid uncontrolled variations.
7. Departmental Development
- Support the establishment and continuous improvement of design workflows, SOPs, and internal standards.
- Contribute to departmental planning, resourcing, and performance tracking.
- Assist in developing design portfolios and presentation materials for marketing and client acquisition.
2. Requirements / Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Minimum 68 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably within design & build or fit-out environments.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the UAE market.

- Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, and fit-out execution.
Software & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with 3D visualization workflows (e.g. SketchUp, 3ds Max, Enscape, Lumion or similar).
- Revit knowledge is an advantage (where applicable).
- Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and presentations.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in client-facing environments.

- Timely delivery of design packages in line with approved project schedules.
- Design quality and constructability, minimizing revisions and site-related issues.

- Compliance with approved scopes, budgets, and internal design standards.
4. Accountability
- Overall accountability for design quality, timely delivery, team coordination, and alignment with project and business objectives.
