Data Engineer

Experience & Education: Around 5-8 years in similar position and ability to cope up with highly challenging and fast changing analytical arena.

Summary of Job:

1. Strong technical knowledge in building data integration and transformation pipelines using AWS services such as Glue and Spark.
2. Analyse existing data models, identify and implement performance optimizations for data ingestion and data consumption. The objective is to accelerate data availability within the platform and to consumer applications. Target technologies and tools are AWS RedShift, Informatica PowerCenter, Tableau
3. Builds and evolves data pipelines (Extract Transform Load ETL) and constructs datasets that are ready for consumption by the business
4. Support client applications in connecting and consuming data from the platform, and ensure they follow our guidelines and best practices.
5. Participate in the monitoring of the platform and debugging of detected issues and bugs.

Required skills for this position.

Primary Skills:

1. Strong technical experience in building data integration and ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud tools
2. Experience in Database or SW development (expected 5 years)
3. Experience in relational databases, SQL, as well as Experience in Data management, or any other field related to Data

Preferred Knowledge:

1. Experience in Big Data, Data Lakes (AWS is a plus).
2. Experience in database design and modelling for data warehouse and business intelligence applications
3. Experience in BI tools like Tableau is a plus.
