Position Summary
The Senior Manager will be a member of the Global Tax team of a preeminent global strategic management consulting firm and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the corporate tax compliance team in India which will be responsible for managing foreign & local tax accounting and compliance for various countries including, international aspects of the US GAAP worldwide tax provision, and components of non-US withholding tax issues. A highly organized, self-starter with excellent communication, collaboration and team management skills will be suitable for this role
Essential Functions
1. Lead all aspects of global income tax accounting under US GAAP and local GAAP
2. Responsible for managing all aspects of the tax compliance process to ensure accurate and defensible corporate income tax and related information reporting returns that consistently reflect optimal tax positions
3. Anticipates potential tax filing conflicts and resolves before returns are filed
4. Keep up with new tax developments and ensure compliance with local rules and regulations
5. Manage income tax reporting, including tax provision preparing/reviewing, DTA and ETR analysis, and tax balance sheet and forecast review, etc;
6. Lead efforts of staff to ensure timely, accurate, and defensible tax return filings;
7. Review and finalize various components of withholding tax compliance
8. Support in tax aspects of various new business ventures to ensure timely, accurate tax reporting
9. Develop and maintain knowledge of federal and international tax laws and current developments. Monitor industry positions relevant to Bain’s international business operations
10. Review tax planning strategies from a local direct tax perspective in various jurisdictions; and
11. Supervision and management of day to day activities of the compliance tax group of the Global Tax team in India
Qualifications
1. Qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA
2. Minimum 8 Years of experience in corporate taxation
3. Preferred experience in a tax compliance center
4. Strong understanding of accounting concepts, proficient knowledge of US taxation of corporations, individuals and partnerships
5. Direct tax expertise in international jurisdictions
6. Strong accounting and tax skills, demonstrating the ability to gain a deep understanding of a consulting business and its financial position
7. Experience collaborating with external advisers on complex tax matters on a global scale.
8. Strong multi-tasking skills; organized and attentive to details
9. Team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
10. Strong experience with tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral; and
12. Willingness to work in flexible work schedules based on Global Time-Zone requirements
