Job Description
- The Digital & Innovation group at USP is looking for a Data Scientist with expertise in advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and natural language processing, as well as data visualization. As a Data Scientist at USP, you will be involved in projects that drive innovations and deliver digital solutions, contributing to USP's public health mission of increasing access to high-quality, safe medicine and improving global health through public standards and related programs. Your role will involve utilizing exploratory data analysis to identify anomalies, patterns, and test hypotheses, applying machine learning techniques for classification and regression tasks, using natural language processing to extract information and enhance business workflows, and effectively communicating results to diverse audiences.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, statistics, and natural language processing for a Senior Data Scientist position, or 8-10 years for a Lead Data Scientist position. Technical proficiency in Python and related packages, as well as SQL, is required, along with experience in CNN/RNN models, data extraction, and scraping. Additional desired preferences include a Master's degree, experience in scientific chemistry or life sciences, proficiency in GenAI concepts with graph data, and the ability to translate stakeholder needs into technical project outputs.
